What We Look For
We don't just look for academic achievement (though that's expected) but for a broad range of skills, extra curricular activities and interests as well. We look for fully rounded personalities and people we would like to work with, during the training contract and beyond.
We want our Trainees to get involved and participate fully in the business. We want people who are confident and at ease in communicating in a number of different situations. We want a lot but then, after all, we expect you to become the future partners of the firm.
The Process
It's a straightforward interview with a panel from the firm's Trainee Committee. We don't subject you to any trick questions, assessment days or psychometric testing. We just want to get to know about you and let you find out about us. Simple.
After the interview, you will be given a tour around our offices by a current Trainee who will introduce you to some of our people and answer any of your questions - even the ones that you didn't want to ask the interview panel.
Tips
Remember that your application is your opportunity to sell yourself to us. Think about what you have achieved, both academically and otherwise. Tell us what you have gained from those achievements and what skills have you acquired.
Let us know what you have done to develop your knowledge and experience. Tell us about any work experience you have gained, both legal and otherwise. Have you travelled? If so, tell us about it and what you have gained from your travels.
