The Training Contract
A
training contract with Higgs is a little different from those
of other firms.
You will spend four-month seats in at least four different departments. As you near the end of your training contract, you may then have the opportunity of spending a 'double' seat in the department into which you wish to qualify.
Trainees share an office with their supervisors, generally a Partner, to ensure you are fully involved in all aspects of their work. Higgs also operates a genuine 'open-door' policy, so someone will always be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
You will be assigned a designated Partner as your 'mentor'
throughout your training contract and into your first year as a
qualified solicitor.
Your mentor is there to oversee your development and ensure that
any questions or problems you may have are addressed swiftly.
