James Osborne

I am currently a first year trainee at Higgs & Sons; with my first seat in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. I was fortunate enough to secure my training contract with Higgs whilst undertaking my Law degree at the University of Sheffield. My three years in Yorkshire were something to remember, but following graduation I moved home to study the LPC at The College of Law in Birmingham and completed this in June 2011.
Prior to the commencement of my training contract I was able to
attend several social events that Higgs had laid on. It was a
pleasure to meet everyone on an informal basis before entering the
office environment. This social induction made my first few
days a lot less daunting, especially considering how approachable
everyone at Higgs is. Having the opportunity to embrace my
legal career at a successful, award winning law firm is extremely
exciting.
Away from law, I am a keen sportsman as I thoroughly enjoy playing
or watching football, golf and badminton to name just a few.
I believe that a healthy work life balance makes for a far more
rewarding career and it is encouraging to see that Higgs holds a
similar belief.
