Selling your home HIPS

If you are thinking of selling your home, remember, a Home Information Pack (commonly referred to as a 'HIP') will be needed.  This is a cost to you, as a seller, before you know whether you have a buyer or not.  Equally, you should expect to receive a HIP relating to the property you purchase.

 A HIP should contain:-

  • An index;
  • Details of the legal title;
  • Local search (checking local authority records);
  • Drainage search;
  • Energy Performance Certificate and
  • A sale statement
