Guide to bringing a claim
A person potentially has a claim for clinical negligence where it can be shown:
- that the standard of medical care provided by a healthcare professional fell below an acceptable standard and was deemed negligent; and
- that the client has suffered pain and suffering and or financial loss, that with appropriate medical treatment could have been avoided.
For a claim to be successful we must be able to prove both elements.
Who can a claim be pursued against?
A claim can be brought against anyone providing medical care either through the NHS or on a privately paying basis:
- gp
- dentist
- consultant
- nurse
- physiotherapist
What will it cost?
We are able to consider legal aid, legal expense insurance and in certain circumstances a 'no win no fee' agreement.
