Trainees 'egg-static' at Easter donations

Higgs' colleagues have once again shown they have a ‘cracking’ attitude when it comes to charity after donating over 120 Easter eggs to Wolverhampton’s Haven refuge.

The eggs were collected as part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to the region in which it works through its Community Matters programme. Partner, Tim Jones, Head of Community Matters was delighted at the results of this year’s Easter campaign.

“The Higgs Trainees have once again helped to organise this year’s Easter egg collection. They have worked so hard over the past three weeks encouraging people to donate, and the results certainly do speak for themselves.

“We have worked with the Haven for many years, donating eggs at Easter and presents at Christmas in order to help provide a little extra support to the families who need to access this vital service.”

Higgs' Community Matters programme supports a range of charities and local organisations. Each year the firm selects a Charity of the Year and in 2018 Higgs is supporting Dudley Mind.

Alongside its Charity of the Year, Higgs also supports several other local organisations including local schools as well as its long-term association with the Haven in Wolverhampton which supports women and dependent children who are vulnerable to domestic violence, homelessness and abuse.

Emma Williams, one of the Higgs Trainees who helped organise the collection concludes:

“We are all looking forward to delivering the eggs to the Haven ready for Easter.

“Colleagues have been once again gone above and beyond in donating so many eggs – you could say their generosity has been ‘eggs-tremely’ humbling.”
