The opening of Wolves themed sports bar The Wanderer’s Return has marked another high-profile commercial property deal in the leisure sector handled by Black Country law firm Higgs & Sons.
The former Cuban Exchange on Exchange Street opened earlier this month after receiving a major black and gold refurbishment and a name change, following a change of ownership.
Legal services on the deal were provided by Higgs' Partner Richard Saxton, assisted by Katherine Cooke in the firm’s employment department.
Richard said: “We were delighted to act on behalf of the new tenant Kalvs Ltd on the terms of the lease and taking on the existing employees and it is most rewarding to see new leisure ventures opening locally.
“The sports and live music venue is already proving popular with new and former customers, retaining what the Cuban Exchange was renowned for, resident DJs and house music – albeit with a Wolves twist."
