Covid-19: General business advice

With the increasing disruption because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), you should continue to be vigilant in all areas of business

Asset Protection:  You may wish to consider ring fencing your company’s key assets, through restructuring.  This will provide you with peace of mind during these challenging times.

Director’s protection: You must proceed with extreme caution in an insolvent or potentially insolvent environment where you could incur personal liabilities for the company’s actions/liabilities.

Insurance: Now is the opportune time to identify what insurance policies you have in place to protect your business. You should notify your insurers as soon as possible if you think you might have a potential claim.  A delay may impact on your ability to make a claim.

Phishing and e-security: Crisis situations can lead to fraudsters trying to take advantage. It is important that you remain vigilant against any potential threats such as phishing emails, and that all e-security measures, such as anti-virus software, are up to date and functioning properly.
