Wills, Taxes and Trusts

Reviewing Your Will

Over time, changes in legislation can affect your will arrangements and the potential tax liability of your estate. For that reason, we recommend reviewing your will at least once every three years, particularly when your personal circumstances may have changed to ensure it continues to meet your needs.

Working in partnership with you, we will provide you with a full written summary of our advice to ensure you are able to make the right decision. We also agree a fixed fee with you so that you will be aware of the costs from the outset.

As well as writing wills, we can advise upon:

  • making effective provision for long term care
  • post-death tax planning
  • property ownership and co-ownership arrangements
  • providing for circumstances when you are not able to deal with your own affairs
  • the creation and use of trusts and other structures to effectively manage and protect family wealth
  • the effective succession to family assets, including property, agricultural and business interests whether in the UK or overseas
  • the mitigation of inheritance tax, capital gains tax and other UK taxes
