I have been a property litigator for over 17 years and joined Higgs & Sons as a Partner in June 2015.
Prior to that, I worked at two leading international law firms where I acted for major developers, house builders, corporates, funds, public and private sector landlords and a number of well-known high street retailers. Specialising in commercial property dispute resolution, I am experienced in advising on development issues, all aspects of property management, dealing with contested lease renewals (particularly those involving opposition on redevelopment grounds), break notices (including complex conditional break options), easements, rent reviews, restrictive covenants, rights of light, dilapidations and service charge disputes.
I also act for landowners on issues arising under the Electronic Communications Code. I have advised in a number of leading cases, including several high profile anti-trespass and protestor matters. I have particular experience and specialism in development related disputes and retail property matters.
I am the national Regions Chair for the Property Litigation Association (PLA), the Chair of the PLA Midlands Region Committee and regularly contribute to the national property press.
