I lead the debt recovery team which sits within the wider dispute resolution team at Higgs. I joined in November 2023 and prior to this I was Head of Debt Recovery in Birmingham law firms.
My career has always been finance focused, from working in banking, credit management and now law, where I have over 20 years’ experience.
I advise on a legal and commercial approach to the recovery of debts due to clients, from early collections through to enforcement and insolvency.
- £14m ledger recovery acting for a debt purchase company which included personal guarantees.
- Acting for a group made up of 20+ independent schools in the recovery of term fees from parents
- Assisting a lender client in re-financing its customer, by structuring and managing the collection of the old book over 12 months
- Acting on behalf of the administrators of Lehman Brothers in the recovery of loans
